Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) announced today the signing of an agreement to acquire substantially all the assets of AeroLEDs, LLC. This strategic acquisition will expand WAT’s product portfolio.

AeroLEDs will maintain its brand and manufacturing operations in Boise, Idaho, while working closely with WAT to ensure a seamless integration. The combined strengths of both companies are expected to drive advancements in aviation LED lighting technology.

Just wait till they raise prices dramatically or in stages. They will now have an 80% or better Monopoly. When Whelen purchased Lopresti in early 2019 they shortly DOUBLED their HID and other lighting products pricing structure. This as they formed a new aviation division WAT (Whelen Aviation Technologies) to carry all of the aviation portion of the larger broader product lines. in short order 1-3 years AeroLEDs will likely be fully absorbed into the “mothership”.
