The chaos of this year’s arrivals last weekend has folks asking why. One piece of information we can add to the discussion is that Homebuilt numbers do NOT seem to support increased attendance as a reason. Now, of course, Homebuilt aren’t the only folks arriving on the weekend but anyone who has attended Oshkosh in recent years knows we are a huge chunk of the crowd.
Two years ago, when weather issues also challenged weekend arrivals and Van’s celebrated a major anniversary, the Homebuilt numbers were markedly higher. So, why was this year so much more chaotic around Fisk’s/Ripon? You can bet that that discussion will continue.
