Tempest has announced the addition of a complete line of aviation spark plugs to its brand of aviation products.
Tempest spark plug features include bright nickel plating to provide corrosion protection, a proprietary glass center seal and integral resistor for maximum durability and improved spark gap life, a vacuum-cemented center electrode that prevents combustion gases from interfering with heat transfer, an unslotted electrode head that provides consistent contact surface for energy transfer and a high-alumina ceramic insulator that uses a proprietary glaze material to ensure high mechanical strength and dielectric quality, the company says.
Aero Accessories, the manufacturer of the Tempest brand of products, has completed the relocation of the spark plug manufacturing facility from Rockford, Illinois, to its new manufacturing facility in Gibsonville, North Carolina. The company has received FAA/PMA and has begun shipping product.
Tempest spark plugs are available only from distributors, and a listing can be found on Tempest’s web site at www.tempestplus.com.
