AvConnect and spidertracks have announced a partnership to offer for the first time an automated and real-time pilot and aircraft records-keeping solution.
Spidertracks is an integrated aircraft flight following solution providing hardware, which combines GPS, antenna and satellite communication in one box, and innovative web-based software to offer real-time, anywhere satellite tracking via the Iridium satellite network.
AvConnect’s technology now works directly with spidertracks, giving customers the benefit of receiving complete and immediate flight data into their account. Pilots no longer have to log any flight-related information. Every flight detail is recorded and automatically updates personal logbooks, aircraft status and flight entries, and Hobbs and tach times. The result is that anyone needing that aircraft information has immediate access to it. Maintenance times are automatically calculated, triggering reminders or notifications sent by AvConnect to the pilot or the team managing the aircraft. AvConnect iPhone and iPad customers have the added bonus of accessing and managing their flight data on those platforms, and viewing their flight-track map via Google Earth.
