Tuesday morning at AirVenture 2017, and the field is full–for certified aircraft! The good news–EAA’s goal (so far always achieved) is that show planes (homebuilts, vintage craft, and warbirds) will never be turned away. The numbers for homebuilts have not reached the records they did last year, so if you are thinking of coming in your experimental there should be a place for you!
We took an offer to go flying in the brand new Zenith CH750 Super Duty–a beefy airplane with a big motor and excellent manners this morning, and here is what Wittman field looked like about 0900 this morning. The airspace is only moderately busy, but the grounds are a beehive of activity. And a bonus–the weather is spectacular!
