Bolts, washers, cotter pins, aluminum sheet and steel tubes. These are the staples of building an aircraft. The usual way to obtain these components is by way of shopping online and delivery by UPS. But at the show builders have the unique opportunity to meet their parts vendors in person and also pick their parts and carry them home. Such is the case with Airparts Inc. of Kansas City, Kansas.
They literally carry their store inventory of aircraft hardware and supplies to the show allowing shoppers to bypass the catalogs and select their parts in person. The very small hardware pieces are clearly labeled with their sizes and price. Various grab bags provide a mix of components at a great value. Walking through their aisles allows one to envision what the “aircraft department” at a real hardware store might look like!
The Warner family (Pam and son Mark pictured) have owned the popular aircraft parts supply business for 49 years and has been setting up their booth at Sun n Fun for the last 44 years (every show since the first Sun n Fun gathering in 1974).
