Aviation enthusiasts, especially fans of Chris Heintz designs, are invited to the Zenair Open Hangar Day and Builder Gathering scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Huronia Airport in Midland, Ontario, Canada.
Visitors are invited to fly or drive in to the Zenair factory, which designer Chris Heintz founded in 1974. Zenair Ltd. manufactures all-metal light aircraft and kits, as well as a full line of straight and amphibious floats for light aircraft.
This informal grassroots fly-in gathering is open to all builders, fliers and aviation enthusiasts, and owners of Chris Heintz designs are encouraged to fly-in for the activities and to show off their completed projects to fellow builders and pilots. John Smith, Huronia Airport’s manager, is currently building his own STOL CH 750 light sport utility kit plane, the most recent Chris Heintz design.
