More on the Sonex Highwing

Sonex Aircraft has debuted an exciting peek at the prototype model of their new Sonex Highwing at their booth at EAA Airventure 2024 and we wrote about the unveiling at the factory yesterday, but here’s another quick look.

Reminiscent of a Wittman Tailwind, the boxy fuselage offers high wing advantages and a comfortable cabin featuring 42 inches of width. The airplane will feature a strutless wing design and options for single or dual stick configurations as well as tricycle gear and conventional gear options. The company hopes to have completed flight testing and take orders for the high wing kit by AirVenture 2025.
