Sennheiser, manufacturer of aviation headsets, is partnering with iFlightPlanner.com in developing a flight planning application designed for use on the iPad and iPad2. The company says the new application will allow pilots to download flight plans from any web browser into their iPads. Once downloaded, pilots can view flight details such as navigation logs, VFR and IFR charts, as well as approach plates while in flight and without a data connection. After landing, the app will allow pilots to electronically close their flight plans and log flight details into their iFlightPlanner logbooks.
Sennheiser and iFlightPlanner are demonstrating the app at AirVenture , prior to its release later this fall. For more information, visit: www.iFlightPlanner.com or www.sennheiser-aviation.com.
