It was really neat to have dinner with the Homebuilt volunteers this evening. Of course they also provided the dinner with all of the fixings and beverages! A special appearance by Charlie Becker (serving everyone in the food line!) and Jack Pelton, along with a number of other key members of EAA Headquarters was pretty cool as well. Both Charlie and Jack spoke for a while highlighting some neat changes at AirVenture 2016, one of which is the availability of MOGAS on the field this year. EAA has actually purchased a fuel delivery vehicle and will be having Bassler Aviation provide the service.
It’s almost a perfect night here at OSH, with clear skies and light winds. Jack was asked if he could do something about the heat and he did mention cooler temps are on the way without making any promises.
