In 1992, Jimmy Franklin performed a low-level, aerobatic routine at Oshkosh in his Kitfox Model 4 Speedster. Twenty-five years later, his son Kyle will be featured in the Wednesday AirVenture air show performing his own low-level routine in a modern Kitfox Speedster. Kyle’s Speedster is a Kitfox with the wings “clipped” by one bay.

Otherwise, the airframe is the same one used in the S7 Super Sport kit. Jimmy’s Speedster was the standard Kitfox of the day, a Model 4, with the same clipped wings. Kyle’s plane is equipped with a fuel-injected Rotax 912is. His performance will be below 1000 feet AGL and within a 1000′ x 300′ box. It should be something to watch!
