Engine Components International (ECi), along with its parent company, Danbury AeroSpace, announced the passing of owner and CEO Gary H. Garvens on May 31, 2012.
Garvens began working at the company, which was founded by his father, in 1960. Under his leadership, the company experienced domestic and international growth in the general aviation industry. Garvens was also a leader of the general aviation industry as a past president of the Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) and a board member of Modification and Replacement Parts Association (MARPA).
The Garvens family is committed to the continued growth and success of Engine Components International under the leadership of President Ty Stoller.
