Dynon Avionics has released Version 3.2 firmware for its SkyView integrated glass panel system. It is available as a free software upgrade for existing SkyView owners and ships standard in all new systems.
Version 3.2 enables pilots to pan around the SkyView GPS map to see detailed airport, airspace and terrain information for areas away from the current aircraft location. Airports, VORs, NDBs, fixes and arbitrary latitude/longitude locations can be added as direct-to and flight-plan waypoints.
In addition to larger fonts and improved graphics, the new version adds serial NMEA data out, and support for the Vertical Power VP-X electronic circuit breaker system, which allows pilots to monitor their electrical system on the SkyView display. (The SkyView VP-X support license is available for $275).
