RPX Technologies, Inc. has announced its dynamic propeller and rotor balancer for cost-effective, simple, straightforward vibration reduction. It can be used on fixed-wing aircraft, rotorcraft and on ships with piston or turbine powerplants. Optional NIST traceable calibration is also available, which makes the DynaVibe appropriate for use on certified aircraft.
DynaVibe displays the magnitude and phase of propeller vibration, allowing precise weight adjustments for balanced and smooth engine operation. It reports rpm, vibration magnitude and angle, the company says.
