DUC Propellers Rolls Out Tiger 3

Last July, DUC Propellers made a statement when factory test pilot Olivier Ronveaux flew transatlantic from France to Oshkosh behind a DUC Tiger 2 propeller. Using an aggressive scimitar shape, the Tiger 2 could handle the power generated by a Rotax 915 or 916.

Kit builders who were interested in DUC quality and performance started inquiring about using the Duc Tiger 2 on lower powered aircraft (for example Rotax 912). Duc has responded at AirVenture this year by introducing the Tiger 3, specially designed to handle the power range from a Rotax 912 through 916. The new Tiger 3 has a relaxed scimitar shape and a different profile from the Tiger 2. However, the new prop uses the same materials and basic construction of the other propellers in the Duc line.
