Ever since Cleaveland Tools changed ownership, new CEO Blake Frazier has focused on helping homebuilders construct quality aircraft components and structures. His innovations in tools and processes continue, with Cleaveland now offering a family of 3D-printed tool holders designed to help builders keep their shops organized.

At Sun ’n Fun, Cleaveland Tools introduced organizers designed to hold rivet guns, air drills, drill bits and countersink bits—anchoring them to a 3D-printed grid system made to fit in low-cost storage cases, such as those available at Harbor Freight.

The organizers are designed to logically group tool categories. For example, the air drill organizer neatly holds the drill, chuck key and essential drill bits (think #19, #30 and #40). The back of each organizer is recessed with a grid pattern that snaps into the 3D-printed base, which fits perfectly inside the aforementioned Harbor Freight storage case. With everything in its place, builders can avoid the dreaded hour-long search for a tool they just set down.

All of these 3D-printed organizers are reasonably priced, but even more impressive is Blake’s offer to sell the design files for a princely sum of just $10. That’s not $10 per item—it’s $10 for all of his tool holder and organizer designs. Any builder with a 3D printer can fabricate these well-thought-out pieces and even modify them as needed.

Other tools introduced at Sun ’n Fun include an air chuck—complete with gauge—designed to service tires in wheel pants, and adjustable rivet squeezer set holders. The new set holders are inscribed with measurement markings, allowing builders to set precise adjustments without guessing or counting turns.
