Rhonda Barrett-Bewley—the heart, might, mind and soul of the iconic family engine shop—has a message for customers new and old: plan and order early, and be prepared for possible delays. It isn’t because business volume, (of which there is plenty), it’s about chronic shortages and delays in acquiring essential parts, components and kits for engine builds.
Lead times for new orders are currently hovering at about 19-20 weeks, which is about double from historical norms and could increase.
