Advanced Flight Systems introduced a new EFIS suitable for smaller panels, the AF-5500. Using the same box as the AF-5600 but with a smaller display, the AF-5500 measures 8.4 inches as opposed to 10.4 for the AF-5600.
Resolution is 1024 x 768, there are 21 buttons, an SD card, HITS, and the unit has a depth of 3.75 inches. The AF-5500 also provides XM Weather and ADS-B, Traffic TIS and ADS-B, approach plates, flight guide for airport diagrams and internal flight planning.
