If once a year at Reno doesn’t give you enough of an air racing fix, join the Formula 1 Class at Ely, Nevada for four days of racing this June!
More than 15 racers are scheduled to attend the four days of pylon racing in the eastern Nevada town, and the venue promises to provide spectators a good view of the closed course spectacle, with the home stretch right up the edge of runway 36. The events starts with qualifying on Wednesday, June 13, and continues with heat racing each day through Saturday. In between races, the organizers promise ballon rides, smoke jumper demonstrations, and displays of Sport Class and T-6 race planes.
KELY will be closed during the racing periods each day, but will be open for arrivals and departures of spectator aircraft at other times – check thee NOTAMS for specifics.
