We stopped by Mountain High’s booth to take a look at their oxygen hardware, and liked this neat idea for mounting a cannula without the usual array of hoses draping over the ears. This boom mounts to your headset with double-sticky tape and holds the cannula to the nose using an adjustable, 3D printed tube.
This has actually been available since before last year, according to the sales folks manning the display, so its not exactly new–it is still clever, and anything that makes oxygen easier to use is a plus.
Using supplemental oxygen at lower altitudes than what are strictly required will help you stay fresher and less fatigued, a nice factor on a long day of flying in the low teens.
