The bad news? It’s raining this morning at Sun ‘n Fun. The good news? The radar looks like we’re on the very back side of it, and it should stop soon. Meanwhile, vendors and media folks are sitting in their cars in the parking lot, hoping it will pass pass before the show officially opens at 9:00, because it’s no fun starting your day soaking wet, especially when it’s humid, and you never dry out.
Things are looking up as I write this however – a Cessna just took off on runway 27, and the sky to the northwest is getting noticeably brighter, so I expect this is just a short interlude of precipitation and it will be another good day to meet with aviation-minded friends, see what our insides try has to offer, and watching some fun flying as day three of Sun ‘n Fun 2016 gets going.
