Garmin will provide free software upgrades for Garmin Mode S transponders used in Experimental aircraft at Sun-N-Fun. Just bring your GTX23ES, GTX330, or GTX330ES transponder to the Garmin booth at the northeast corner of the North Hangar building (Hangar D) and they will install V7.04 software into your transponder while you wait. It only takes about two minutes to accomplish this update.
Garmin is not equipped to perform sign-offs for certified aircraft, so please only bring transponders that are installed in Experimental aircraft.
