Nothing on TV? Try this-Sport Pilot TV, a weekly aviation program dedicated to flying for fun, recently debuted on The Mens Channel, a cable television network. Despite its name, Sport Pilot TV puts you in the flying seat of airplanes beyond those that qualify for the FAAs new Light Sport category. All kinds of aircraft are featured-conventional, homebuilts, ultralights, LSAs and others..

According to the producer, the program brings viewers face to face with the people, places and airplanes that are the heart of the general aviation industry. It will tour companies, visit with aviators and fly along on trips throughout North America showcasing how small aircraft owners can cash in on the benefits of private piloting. Sport Pilot TV will also focus on promoting aviation education, including tips on selecting the right flight school and instructor. Itll also profile a variety of homebuilt airplanes. Initial episodes included segments on a variety of topics that have been covered in KITPLANES: the Viper Jet homebuilt, Hog Air Harley Davidson engine conversions, the Hughes racer replica, RANS Aircraft, rotary aircraft and trikes, just to name a few.

The program airs nationwide on The Mens Channel on Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. ET and on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. ET. The channel is offered by the DISH Network and a variety of other cable and satellite providers. For information, contact Arturo Weiss at 786/312-9492.
