Brightline Bags Introduces FLEX Flight-Bag System

Brightline Bags has a new modular flight-bag system called the FLEX System. With five different sizes of interchangeable modules available, a front and rear end cap and a collection of four interchangeable external pockets, pilots can create a customized bag that is the appropriate size and has the exact functionality desired, according to the needs for a particular flight.

“A basic truth in aviation is that every pilot flies different types of missions in different types of conditions and therefore has constantly changing flight-gear needs on an almost daily basis,” said Brightline Bags President Ross Bishop. “We designed this system of modules and pockets to allow every pilot to once and for all have a bag that actually works to control and organize their flight gear, no matter the nature of their next flight.”

The prices of the preconfigured bags range from $107 for the 13-inch B2 Compute to $265 for the B25 Carryall duffle.

Multiprocess Welding System from Victor Technologies

Victor Technologies has introduced the Fabricator 211i, a fully integrated MIG-Stick-TIG inverter welding system. The Fabricator 211i weighs 57.3 pounds and offers the flexibility of using either 115 or 208/230 VAC single-phase primary power, 50 or 60 Hz. It delivers a welding range of 5 to 150 amps on 115 VAC and 5 to 210 amps on 230 VAC.

The 211i responds to changing weld conditions within 13 microseconds, which is 16 times faster than competitive Stick/TIG inverters and 640 times faster than conventional MIG welders, the company says. The Fabricator 211i features power factor correction (PFC). It draws 22% less primary current than competitive MIG welders, is less likely to trip circuit breakers, can provide full rated output on a 30-amp/230V circuit and reduces utility bills because of its efficiency, according to Victor Technologies.

The Fabricator 211i package has an MSRP of $1399; it includes a Tweco MIG gun, stick electrode holder and a Victor regulator.

New Owners of Full Lotus Floats

After almost 10 years in the aircraft float business, Full Lotus Floats has sold the design rights, inventory and production tooling for its float line to Aircraft Floats Manufacturing, Inc.

AFM will continue producing the standard line of Full Lotus floats; it already has a large inventory and has started deliveries of floats, as well as replacement parts for maintenance and repairs to existing owners. The company will soon start introducing type-specific rigging instructions for a variety of popular aircraft designs, something not previously offered by Full Lotus.

AFM’s new production facilities are located on the Huronia Airport (CYEE) in Midland, Ontario, next to Zenair Limited, a kit aircraft manufacturer. AFM will also distribute Zenair’s high-performance aluminum floats.
