We’ve written in previous years about the great opportunity to experience a simulated altitude chamber operated by the FAA at AirVenture and apparently the word has gotten out. When I arrived about 9:30 am to sign up to check my current tolerance, I found all 30 slots were filled for the days. Talking with the FAA staff at the booth, they told me that there has been a line of about 50-100 people waiting each day when the hangar door open and the slots fill within minutes after 9 am. If you want to take advantage of this great and valuable experience, you had better make your way to the FAA hangar plenty early!
