A Sonex Waiex-B is the focus of this year’s One Week Wonder (OWW) project, an effort to build and complete a Homebuilt airplane in seven days using volunteers. Three years ago, the EAA volunteers finished an RV-12 during AirVenture. Five years ago, the first OWW was a Zenith CH-750; which was also completed within the week.
The boxes will be opened and building will commence starting at 7:40 Monday morning at the southwest corner of Knapp Street and Celebration Way. Experienced (especially Sonex) builders might consider donating a half day or more to the project. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to come by and pull a few rivets to help out…no experience needed. Then , can honestly say that you helped build an airplane, too.
