It seems that no week in April can go without at least one thunderstorm in central Florida and this week was no exception. Although the weather has generally been good in Lakeland for Sun ‘n Fun, Thursday proved to be the day that the weather gods demanded their tribute and dumped it all over the field for a couple of hours. Fortunately, most attendees knew that it was coming long in advance—in fact, it was predicted to hit around noon, and that is just about when the sky became threatening, and the deluge began. The rain lasted about two hours, leaving the grounds a bit soggy, but not so bad that folks couldn’t continue making their rounds after the hiatus of hiding out in the display and vendor buildings.
Soggy in central Florida? That’s just par for the course, and for compensation, the Friday and weekend forecasts look pretty good!
