Last night again set a new record for Homebuilt airplanes tied down in HBP and HBC…253 in camping and 178 in parking making a record total of 431. Of course, there are scores more Homebuilt scattered around the field. Dozens that flew in are on display in the Showplane area in front (east of) Homebuilt Headquarters, others are “decorating” vendor areas, and we even saw an RV-3 in Vintage Camping! In the past, I’ve known of a Homebuilt or two parked in the North 40…slumming the week with “certified” friends. The sacrifices one must make for friendship.
