Props live hard hard lives and that’s one of many reasons why propeller manufacturers recommend routine upkeep and overhauling a prop based on flight time and calendar time. To find out what it takes to correctly overhaul a prop, Kitplanes Magazine contributor Larry Anglisano spent a day on the shop floor at Sensenich Propeller Services in Georgia—one of the oldest propeller shops in the country—and prepared this field report.
