Bret Biggs RotorWay Exec 90

I took possession of the RotorWay Exec 90 kit and finished it in 2003. This was a dream of mine to fly a helicopter, and I had not done so until I finished this one. I used my machine to build most of my flying time toward my pilot license. This is a great homebuilt to fly, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a dream of building a helicopter. Remember to use both the factory and the great web sites to gain knowledge and bounce questions off of other builders who have gone through the same learning curve. I just got it painted in July 2008 and have to admit that I copied the scheme from another one.

David Nannarones RANS S-16 Shekari

I purchased my S-16 Shekari in April 2006 from the second owner. It was unassembled at that time, although the wings had been skinned. By August 1, 2006, we were ready to start to work on it. I moved it to Dodge City, Kansas, where with the help of Mike Million we began construction. The plane was completed in January 2007 and was inspected in February 2007. First flight was not until late March that year because of bad weather. The first flight was uneventful and smooth. I could tell then that it was going to be a good and enjoyable plane for me to fly. The O-320 pulls it through the air very easily. I have a Dynon D-180 EFIS engine monitor and a Garmin 296 GPS. N741-W-T made its first trip to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for the 2008 show. It has 58 hours with no complications.

Larry Halls Pazmany PL-9 Stork

On April 18, 2008, my Pazmany PL-9 Stork took to the sky for the first time. This 11-year project was scratchbuilt from plans. Powered by a Lycoming O-540, it performs and handles great. The propeller is a McCauley 90×45. Covering is the PolyFiber process. Thanks to my brother Jed for all of his help. After the many challenges and fulfillments during the building process, we look forward to many enjoyable flights in the back country. It is truly a dream come true.
