Attendance in home built camping and parking has been unusual this year due to the weather and water-saturated grounds. It was record high on Friday evening, before the three intense rain storms hit, at a five-year low on Sunday evening, and a five-year high last (Tuesday) night.
Now, numbers are always a little mid-leading as it seems we see more and more homebuilts scattered around the show at vendor booths and in other showplane display areas. And, a few certified aircraft snuck into the home built area. But the numbers tell a relative story about this year’s AirVenture…homebuilt participation continues to grow!
