This was discovered on the initial airworthiness inspection on a Kitfox. No pitch control stops were installed, allowing the full-forward movement of the stick to cause jamming of the pitch-control torque tube. It also caused the jam nut to turn in a direction that would loosen it. Remember to check all controls for the manufacturer’s recommended minimum and maximum deflection, as well as to check for proper clearances at all connecting points.
